Today, laser printers have gained particular popularity. However, you can still find inkjet devices and ink cartridges in stores. Unfortunately, most of the problems arise with them. In particular, printing produces white lines, streaks, etc. To get rid of this problem, you need to clean the cartridge from the printer.

Instructions

Step 1

Most modern inkjet printers are equipped with a special program that automatically cleans the cartridge. If you have exactly this model of the device, just go to the control panel and open the printer settings. There, select the section "Tools and cleaning the cartridge". Print a blank sheet to test system operation.

Step 2

If this function is not available, download the "Solution Center" program from the disk, in the properties of which find the "Printing options" section. Here you need to select "Printer Maintenance" and open the "Printing Preferences" window. Check the box next to cleaning the cartridge and wait for the instructions of the wizard. Most likely, you will have to "drive" a few sheets of paper to get the desired result.

Step 3

In the event that none of the above options worked, clean the cartridge contacts yourself. To do this, open the printer, slide the catches holding the cartridge and remove this element of the device. Remember to take out the cartridges for a maximum of 30 minutes, so clean them one at a time.

Step 4

To do this, use a prepared, soft cloth without any loose fibers or lint, rubber swabs and filtered water.

Step 5

After removing the cartridge, check the surface for ink stains or other debris.

Step 6

Take a piece of cloth, dampen it in water and squeeze thoroughly. Now wipe the copper-colored contacts on the cartridge, being careful not to touch the nozzle. When doing this, hold the device by the sides. Leave the cartridge on the table for 10 minutes and wait for the contacts to dry.

Step 7

After that, immediately put it in place, fix it. Repeat the steps for the other cartridges.

Step 8

Remember - after cleaning the cartridge, you need to put it on the table so that its nozzles are pointing up.
