For home use, inkjet printers are most often purchased - they are cheap, have a high print speed, are compact and often combine several devices. But they have one small drawback - the print head nozzles can dry out if the printer is not used for a long time. You can clean the printer head from dried ink yourself at home.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, you need to soak the dried paint. If your printer is equipped with non-removable heads, then you can move the carriages to the middle of the printer, put a saucer of warm water under them, and put a cloth so that it touches the printing surface of the heads. Leave it on for 3-4 hours.
Step 2
If you have a printer with heads built into cartridges, then you can simply remove them and put them in a saucer with warm water so that the heads are immersed in water by only 1.5-2 mm.
Step 3
For HP brand printers, you can also add a few drops of ammonia to the water to speed up cleaning.
Step 4
After that, you need to refill the cartridges and start the standard process of cleaning the cartridges. There are also factory-made sprays for the same purpose, but they are only effective in the initial stages of printhead contamination.
Step 5
If it was not possible to clean the printer head because its nozzles are too dirty, then the ink should be pumped out of the contaminated cartridges and replaced with distilled water. Then also immerse the printing surface of the heads in warm water.
Step 6
Create a drawing and fill it with solid black. Further, in order to clean the head of the printer, it is necessary to print the prepared drawing on the whole page every 1, 5-2 hours on the printer. In this way, the print nozzles are cleaned and you can control the cleaning process. It can be considered finished if the entire page gets evenly wet.
Step 7
After that, set up the printer for maximum print quality and brightness, and print the same pattern 3-4 more times.
Step 8
Remove the remaining water from the cartridge with a syringe. Then you need to refill the cartridges and perform factory cleaning and alignment of the cartridges. If the print quality is satisfactory, then refill the cartridges and re-configure the printer.
