Samsung SCX-3205 is a laser printer model suitable for office use. If your printer starts to malfunction or malfunction, it might need to be flashed by updating the current software.

Step 1
Print the Samsung Configuration Report, which contains information about the current printer firmware. To do this, turn on the device and hold down the STOP button for a few seconds. As soon as the status light starts flashing, release the key. The printer will then automatically print a configuration report. Find the line Firmvare Version in the text of the report. Typically, the printer has one of three firmware versions: V.3.00.01.08, V.3.00.01.09, or V.3.00.01.10. You can update the firmware by installing the current version or higher (but not lower than at the moment).
Step 2
Download the flasher program Usbprns2 from the manufacturer's website. They are usually available for download in a single archive. Unpack the archive and go to the USB_SN_Changer folder, then run the ChangeSN.exe file. Please enter the correct correct serial number in the corresponding field. Firmware V.3.00.01.09 and V.3.00.01.10 correspond to the combination Z5L4BFCB900500P, and firmware V.3.00.01.08 - Z5IGBFEZC00780A.
Step 3
Click on the firmware file with the *. HD extension and drag it onto the Usbprns2.exe file. After that, the flasher program will start, and lines with a description of the software update process will run across the screen. This will also blink the printer status light. Never unplug the device from the network during the flashing process, otherwise the printer may permanently fail. Once the operation is complete and the flasher window closes, turn off the printer and turn it back on. Print the Configuration Report again and note the current firmware version. If you installed a newer version, the firmware number should change, and if you reinstalled the current one, the letter "f" should appear next to the number.
