Instructions

Step 1

Of course, it can also be a physical damage to the equipment that is not visible to the naked eye, but first of all, check the settings of your printer. This may be because you or another user has delayed or paused printing documents with this printer. You can get all the necessary information in the "Printers and Faxes" window. It can be called in several ways.

Step 2

Click the Start button or the Windows logo key on your keyboard. In the menu, select the "Printers and Faxes" item by clicking on it with the left mouse button. If this folder is not configured to appear in the Start menu, open it another way. Through the "Start" menu, call the "Control Panel". Select the "Printers and Other Hardware" category and click on the "Printers and Faxes" icon, or select the "Show Installed Printers and Faxes" task. If the "Control Panel" has a classic look, select the desired icon right away.

Step 3

In the folder that opens, move the mouse cursor to the icon of your printer and right-click on it. Notice the third line in the dropdown menu. If it contains the "Resume Printing" command, it means that sending documents for printing on this printer has been suspended. In this case, the status of the printer status (the inscription under the printer icon in the folder) will have the same value. Click on the line with the left mouse button to unblock sending documents for printing.

Step 4

If the "Postpone print" command was previously selected in the settings, the printer will not print documents either, and the "Not connected" value will be displayed in the equipment readiness status. In this case, pay attention to the fifth line of the dropdown menu. Click on the words "Use the printer online" with the left mouse button. After that, the status label will change its appearance to "Ready".
