Restoring the phone's factory settings occurs in several ways - a full recovery using engineering codes and a simple factory reset, which is available from the menu.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to restore the factory settings of the Nokia n73 phone, open its main menu and go to the control panel. Go to Options and under General Settings, select Reset Device.
Step 2
Enter the phone code, by default it can be 00000, 12345, etc., depending on the firmware installed in the phone. After that, a complete reset of the parameters that you changed during the use of the phone will be performed. Please note that the security codes may also have been changed by you during operation; after a reset, they will not change to their original values.
Step 3
If you need to fully restore your phone, format it by connecting to your computer and performing this action from the My Computer menu in the device properties or in the phone's file manager. After that, disconnect the device from the computer and in standby mode enter a special service code - for your phone model it will be * # 7370 #.
Step 4
Next, if a confirmation dialog box appears, enter the phone code (12345, 00000 or the one you changed it to). Please note that after you complete the full recovery procedure, all security codes in your phone will return to their original values, and the access codes for the menu sections will need to be re-entered. Also note that in some cases it is possible to delete data from the phone memory.
Step 5
If you don't want to lose them, back up your information by connecting your phone to your computer. Also, remove the memory card from your phone first. It can take some time to recover with the code, so do not perform any action on it until it reboots itself.
