Lithium batteries are considered smart, they are supplied with a built-in controller. Lithium is the most active metal, so batteries are compact and capacious. They contain 1.5-2 times more energy than nickel ones. But this feature also has a downside. It is almost impossible to restore batteries. It is easier to keep them in working order.

Instructions

Step 1

Observe the rules of operation. Do not run the battery to the minimum charge. In this way, lithium batteries differ from nickel ones, for which such a position is even useful and allows in some cases to restore the original capacity. Smart batteries must be charged at all times, and if they happen to be completely discharged, plug them in as soon as possible.

Step 2

Use not only a charger, but also a USB to recharge the battery regularly. For lithium batteries, partial and frequent connections to the power source will not harm, but will prolong its life.

Step 3

If the charge is close to the minimum, and there is no special device at hand, connect your mobile device with a lithium battery to the switched on computer using a USB cable. If the battery is completely discharged, then this method will not help.

Step 4

Avoid working in the cold. Lithium batteries deteriorate from these conditions. They can stand it for a few minutes, but you shouldn't get carried away. Store devices with such batteries in the inner pockets of your outer clothing.

Step 5

Do not overheat a fully charged battery. The amount of charge depends on the ambient temperature. And if in the cold it quickly drops, then at elevated temperatures it grows. Particularly in hot environments, avoid all kinds of enclosures for devices with lithium batteries. If there is a threat of overheating, do not connect the charger to the mains, work in autonomous mode.

Step 6

Have replacement batteries and store them charged separately. The optimum battery fill rate for long-term storage is 50 percent. In this form, a working device can lie quietly for up to six months.

Step 7

Connect the charger if the battery shows no signs of life. And leave it alone for 15 minutes. If charging has not started during this time, then most likely it will not be possible to restore the battery.

Step 8

Try the last resort if the battery management does not respond to charging. Remove the adhesive tape from the battery, remove the plastic frame and attach the wires according to polarity directly to the terminals exiting the battery. Start charging. The battery may recover in 5-10 minutes. Return it to its original form, insert it into the device and continue charging in the usual way.
