Despite the fact that manufacturers of plasma monitors and TVs every year only improve the quality of their products, you cannot be 100% insured against all sorts of breakdowns, malfunctions and factory defects. The plasma panel can fail either through your fault or through the fault of the manufacturer itself.
Instructions
Step 1
If the plasma does not turn on, the first step is to make sure that this device is initially connected to a power source (mains).
Step 2
Check if there is voltage in the outlet to which the plasma television is connected (connect it to a voltage regulator).
Step 3
If there is sufficient voltage, but the plasma screen does not light up, or if it lights up, but it turns off immediately, this indicates that the protection is activated directly in the power supply. Check if the TV's power supply is working.
Step 4
If the power supply is defective, repair it or replace the power supply with a similar model.
Step 5
If horizontal or vertical stripes appear on the plasma TV screen, diagnose the TV matrix, X and Y scans. If it is not possible to repair them, replace these elements of the plasma television.
Step 6
If spots appear on the screen in the form of circles or ovals, replace the plasma TV matrix.
Step 7
If it is impossible to repair the motherboard, replace it. The malfunction can be confirmed by the absence of sound signals (in this case, the image itself will be on the screen).
Step 8
A malfunctioning Plasma TV may be caused by a software glitch. Reflash or restore the plasma TV's firmware.
Step 9
In case of mechanical damage to the plasma TV screen (cleaning the screen with detergents with abrasives, deep scratches from various objects), the screen cannot be repaired. It is required to replace it.
Step 10
Apply for plasma repair to the appropriate service center. If the warranty card is still valid, then you will not need to pay a dime.
