Today, almost every PC user who has a microphone at hand can record their own song. However, the presence of even the most expensive equipment will not save you from complete failure if the song is not properly mixed.

Step 1
Please use Adobe Audition version 3.0 or higher for information. The advantage of this program is that it very successfully combines the capabilities of software both for sound recording and for subsequent sound editing. There is a convenient toolkit for several audio tracks, the ability, without leaving a separate menu, to "raise the volume" and apply a rich assortment of filters and effects, which can be easily expanded using plugins.
Step 2
Mix the instrumental with the main acapellas. Please note that standard microphone models have a slight delay when recording audio, so even if you were recording directly in this environment, it is worth moving the track slightly to the left (find out the specific delay time practically).
Step 3
Process the acapella. Remove noise using the built-in tools: by opening the corresponding menu, select an empty fragment of the recording and press the "read profile" button. The program will determine which sounds are extraneous and remove them when you apply the profile to the entire acapella completely (ie, if you do the same not with noise, but with the letter "a", then all "a" in the song will be muffled).
Step 4
Arrange backs. Backing vocals are the second sound track, which is superimposed on the main one only in those places where special amplification of the voice is required (places are implied logically or are related to the peculiarities of the vocal). Make sure that the backing is faint, otherwise they will attract too much attention to themselves and spoil the effect. It is worth considering the way of recording backings: usually they are recorded as a single take for the entire verse, but other options are possible.
Step 5
Save the result in.wav format. Check the volume and sound quality again. If required, additional processing using filters and effects is quite possible after saving the entire audio recording to a single file. Listen to the resulting audio recording on the built-in Windows player, the sound quality will change slightly, and the imperfections in the mixing will be more noticeable.
