The camera is one of the key features of the Xiaomi Mi 9 and it is one of the strongest parts of the phone.
On the back are 48MP wide, 16MP ultra-wide and 12MP telephoto lenses that combine to take some pretty fantastic shots, and the camera's capabilities are complemented by a collection of AI features to help your photography. The front camera is equipped with 20MP.
In low light, the camera delivers results that are far from the competition. However, in normal shooting mode, vivid pictures are obtained. The camera's strong point is its deep sensing, courtesy of a 12MP telephoto lens. There is also a manual focus mode in which you tap on a subject on the screen to focus on it. The front camera has fast focusing with good color accuracy.
There are a number of pre- and post-processing functions, including a beauty mode that lets you add bokeh effects to images, smooth skin tones and other flowers, and a Pro mode that lets you control shooting parameters such as aperture and shutter speed.
The main camera also supports video recording up to 4K, but the option itself is hidden in the menu, which makes it difficult to use.
