Ankle boots are very comfortable and durable shoes that almost never get wet, and weighs no more than regular autumn sneakers. But these shoes have one significant drawback - they are long and hard to lace up. However, to keep the laces from causing a lot of trouble, you only need a little dexterity.
Instructions
Step 1
On the one hand, lacing ankle boots is not so difficult. It is enough to lace them up just once, and then just slightly loosen the ties at the top. But everything is not so simple: only with proper lacing, the ankle boots are able to perform their main function (to protect the foot from injuries and sprains). Inappropriate lacing can overtighten the leg and interfere with the blood supply to the foot.
Step 2
Lacing through loops and rings is considered the most reliable today, this is worth remembering when choosing shoes. But for hooks, in addition to laces, foreign objects and even clothes can cling. The traditional and well-known lacing through the holes can compress the foot unevenly, which will lead to discomfort, besides, such holes do not protect well from moisture in bad weather.
Step 3
Before you lace up the ankle boots, be sure to put them on your leg. This is the only way you can correctly adjust the density of the lacing both at the bottom of the toe and at the heel.
Step 4
There are several ways to lacing ankle boots:
Cross-to-cross lacing. It is very simple to do: take the lace and pass it horizontally into the two side holes from the bottom (at the toe), then cross the ends of the lace between each other and pass it from bottom to top into the next holes. This type of lacing firmly pulls the ankle boots to the legs.
Step 5
Ladder lacing is also ideal for ankle boots. Take the lace and pass it horizontally into the two lowest holes, then do not cross the ends of the lace, as in the first case, but lift it straight and thread it into the next row of holes from bottom to top. Then cross the ends of the laces and loop them through the loop formed by the opposite end of the lace, then pull the laces straight up again.
Step 6
But the so-called "army lacing" is considered the most suitable for ankle boots. It takes just a few seconds to complete. Take the lace and thread it horizontally through the two bottom holes, then lift straight up and thread it through the next holes. After that, cross the laces and thread from bottom to top into the next row of holes, then lift straight again.
