Themes for Nokia S40 mobile phones are stored in NTH files. To create them, you can use online constructors, which allows you not to install any additional programs either on your phone or on your computer.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure that your mobile phone is made on the S40 platform and has a color display with a resolution of 240x320, 208x208, or 128x160 pixels.
Step 2
You can use the theme builder using the browser of both your computer and your phone. It all depends on which of these devices you have unlimited Internet access. In both cases, go to the page linked at the end of the article.
Step 3
Enter a name for the topic. It is advisable to use only Latin letters in it, in order to avoid compatibility problems with old devices.
Step 4
Specify the colors of various elements of the theme: title, status, menu, etc. To do this, use the drop-down lists below the names of the corresponding elements.
Step 5
In the last drop-down list, specify a screen resolution that matches your phone's.
Step 6
Now choose one of the two sets of icons. The first is more suitable for themes with a dark background, and the second is more suitable for themes with a light background.
Step 7
Search your phone gallery or computer hard drive for two photos. Reduce them with any graphic editor to a size that matches the resolution of the mobile phone display. Be sure to save them under new names so as not to spoil the originals.
Step 8
Using the "Browse" buttons (there are two of them), select the previously created graphic files for the splash screen displayed after prolonged inactivity, as well as the background of the screen.
Step 9
Click the New Topic button. An NTH file will be generated shortly. If you download it with your phone, it will automatically be saved in the "Themes" menu folder. When downloading a file to a computer, you will have to additionally transfer it to your phone using a memory card (if available), cable or Bluetooth. If you have unlimited access to the global network both on your computer and on your phone, use e-mail to transfer the file by sending it to yourself.
