If your cell phone falls into the water, don't panic. In the overwhelming majority of cases, such a "drowned man" can be returned to working condition. The main thing is to quickly provide him with "first aid", and then you can slowly carry out his further recovery.

It is necessary

  • - distilled water;
  • - alcohol;
  • - bath;
  • - a set of screwdrivers for repairing phones;
  • - lint-free fabric;
  • - a jar for small parts.

Instructions

Step 1

"First aid" for a phone that has fallen into the water is to pull it out of the water and remove the battery. It must be removed as soon as possible so that the conductors on the PCB are not damaged by galvanic corrosion. Especially inconvenient in this sense are devices that require tools to remove the battery, for example, Nokia N8. If you do not have a suitable screwdriver with you, in order to "save the life" of the phone, you will have to hurry to the nearest workshop.

Step 2

All further operations to restore the device should be carried out without haste, since it is possible to disable it with one careless movement. Never try to disassemble the device using a regular slotted or Phillips screwdriver. So you will only spoil the slots on the screws, after which it will be extremely difficult to unscrew them.

Step 3

In order to purchase a set of screwdrivers specifically designed for opening phones, you will have to visit a store that sells phone parts. Sometimes such sets are sold in them five to ten times cheaper than in the markets.

Step 4

Take your phone apart slowly, remembering the location of the screws and the order of disassembly. If it has a folding or sliding structure, it is better to find a disassembly guide on the Internet so as not to act at random. Place screws and all small parts in a jar.

Step 5

After disassembling the phone, all its parts, except for the battery (it is better to replace it with a new one immediately) and the display, rinse thoroughly with distilled water. Do the same operation with the SIM card.

Step 6

Dry the parts completely after rinsing. Do not use a hairdryer or fan heater for this - the board may warp and completely fail. You can use a heating radiator, insulating the parts from it with a thick book to reduce the drying temperature. Take measures to prevent the book and parts from falling onto the floor. It will take several days to dry them. Then immerse them (also excluding the battery and display) in a bath of alcohol and soak there for several hours.

Step 7

Thoroughly clean the board and all parts of alcohol with a lint-free cloth. Dry them again, this time free of alcohol. A heat source is not needed for this at all, and it will take much less time - several hours.

Step 8

Assemble the phone in the reverse order of disassembly, insert the SIM card and battery, and then try to turn it on. If this operation is successful, the recovery is complete.

Step 9

Immediately after the phone is working, make a backup copy of all data stored in it in case it suddenly fails.
