Phones are often dropped into the water. This is not surprising, because we take them with us everywhere - to the beach, to the bath, to the toilet, communicate on a cell phone, and prepare food in the kitchen. According to the statistics of service services, "bathing" a mobile phone is one of the most frequent reasons for getting them for repair. However, in many cases, action can be taken quickly and the malfunction can be avoided.
Instructions
Step 1
Of course, if the phone falls into the water, it must be immediately pulled out of there. The less time he will "swim", the more chances he will avoid problems. We get it out immediately, even if the device is drowned in the toilet - washing your hands is not so difficult, but every second of delay reduces the chances of the cell phone avoiding serious damage.
Step 2
Taking a wet phone out of the water, many first try to turn it on to check if it works. In no case should this be done, otherwise the internal contacts may be damaged and the battery may fail. The first thing to do is open the back cover, remove the battery (if your phone model allows it), SIM card, and then place all parts on a dry surface (for example, on a towel). Wipe everything well and very gently so that there is no water left anywhere, and put it to dry. If possible, disassemble the device into separate parts altogether, if you can do this without breaking anything. If you can't make out, at least turn the phone over with the buttons down.
Step 3
Ethyl alcohol can help make your phone dry more efficiently. It accelerates the evaporation of water from the surface, so you can wipe the device with it. It is better to dry the device in a dry, warm room, but do not place it in direct sunlight. It is also recommended to put it in uncooked rice. In no case should you dry your phone with a hairdryer - hot air will only harm, and besides, there is a risk of water droplets blowing from the surface inside. And of course, no ovens or microwaves.
Step 4
Even if you are sure that you were able to remove water from all parts of the phone, it is too early to turn it on. The device should dry well - not an hour or two, but at least a day. Even one drop that remains can lead to breakage. There is no need to try to speed up the process by shaking or flipping the phone - it is best if no one touches it during the drying process.
Step 5
After drying, inspect your phone again to make sure it looks dry. Inspect ports, compartments and crevices for moisture. If everything is ok, try turning it on. If everything works well, then you can breathe easy, if not, you will have to carry it for repairs or buy a new one - as it is more convenient for you. However, you should make sure that it is the phone and not the battery. The battery may have been damaged by the water. If the device cannot be turned on in offline mode, but it works when connected to a charger, you need to change the battery.
