In order to quickly complete document flow, an employee working with a Panasonic device must know how to receive a fax and send documents, and, depending on the situation, must be able to set the device to the desired mode.

Instructions
Step 1
Set your fax machine to ANSWER MACHINE AND / OR FAX mode if you want to answer a phone call using an answering machine and still receive faxes automatically. When a call is ringing, do not pick up the handset: Panasonic will recognize the fax tone and will automatically receive it.
In the greeting recorded on the answering machine, warn the caller that he can leave his voice message after listening to the answering machine by pressing the * and 9 buttons, and then send the fax by pressing the FAX / START button.
Step 2
If there is a possibility in the office, connect the fax machine on a line separate from the telephone, then fax reception can be carried out by setting the machine to the "FAX" mode. All calls will be treated as faxes by the machine. If necessary, change the number of rings after which Panasonic will respond to fax reception in this mode.
Step 3
If you need to answer all telephone calls in person, you will have to receive the fax manually. To do this, select the "TELEPHONE" mode in the menu.
When you receive a ringing tone, lift the handset. If on the back of the line you hear a long beep for a fax call or nothing is heard, then start. If you have a conversation with the subscriber, then after mutual consent to receive the document, press the FAX / START button. Hang up the machine after receiving the fax. If you need to cancel fax reception, press the STOP button.
If the desktop is far from the fax machine, connect an extension telephone to the line that Panasonic is on and set it to tone mode. Set your fax machine to be wired remotely. When receiving a call, pick up the handset of the extension telephone and press * # 9 to receive the document. The fax machine will receive the fax, then hang up the extension phone.
Step 4
If you want to answer calls in person but still receive faxes automatically, set Panasonic to TEL / FAX mode. When there is an incoming call, the device will reflect it on the display, but will not ring. The machine will remain on standby for the specified number of calls. When the machine recognizes a fax tone, it will receive the document without ringing.
If the machine does not detect a fax tone, it will ring. Answer the call from Panasonic or an extension telephone connected to the fax line. The machine activates the fax function if you do not answer a call for a long time. Therefore, to talk to the caller, press FAX / START.
Step 5
Some Panasonic models provide fax polling, which saves the opponent's money. In this case, to receive a fax, select "POLLING" from the machine's menu, make sure that there are no loaded documents in your machine, and call the phone of the subscriber from whom you want to receive the document. After the signal passes, receive the fax to your machine.
