With the introduction of two code zones 495 and 499 in Moscow, many subscribers began to have problems dialing numbers within the city. At the same time, the most problems were caused by calls from one number that appeared in the 499 code to another in the same code zone.
Necessary
- - telephone set;
- - the number of the subscriber you want to call.
Instructions
Step 1
To call from one phone with the code 499 to another, dial 499, and then immediately the subscriber's number. There is no need to dial eight and wait for a dial tone. After dialing the last digit of the called party's telephone number, you will hear long beeps or a busy signal.
Step 2
For a call from zone 499 to a subscriber with code 495, the procedure is the same as for a long-distance call within Russia. Dial eight, wait for a dial tone, then code 495 and the subscriber's number. But, unlike long distance communication, you will not have to pay for this call.
Step 3
Call another city or abroad by phone with the code 499 in the same sequence as before dividing Moscow into two code zones. For a long-distance call, dial the eight, after the dial tone - the area code and the subscriber's number.
Step 4
Dial eight, wait for a dial tone and then 10, country code, city code and subscriber number when calling abroad, including to any country of the former USSR.
Step 5
Try to clarify which code zone the number you need belongs to if you are not sure whether it remained in the 495 code or moved to 499. To do this, contact the MGTS contact center by phone (495) 636-06-36. It is not necessary to give the entire phone number, the first three digits are enough.
Step 6
Do not forget about two code zones if you call a Moscow phone using the 495 prefix and hear that the number was dialed incorrectly. Try to call the same subscriber, but with the code 499.
Step 7
Please note that when you call from one phone in the code 495 to another, another error is possible. The order of dialing numbers inside it remained the same: only the subscriber's number itself without prefixes. If you, by analogy with the code zone 499, dial the prefix 495 and the number of the called subscriber, you will definitely not get through to him. Try dialing only the number first. And if it does not work out, and nothing was confused in the number itself, it means that it belongs to the code 499 and it is necessary to call it taking into account this circumstance.
Step 8
Use the long distance format also to call from a code zone 495 phone to a 499 zone. Dial the eight, wait for the dial tone, then dial 499 and the number of the called party.
