The international dialing code of Italy is 39. You can call it from both a landline and a mobile phone. The main thing is that the international communication service is connected.

Step 1
To call Italy from a landline phone, first dial 8 and wait for a dial tone (on some modern PBXs, there will be no dial tone after 8). Then dial 10 and wait for a new dial tone (which may not be available on some modern PBXs either). Now dial the Italian code - 39, then the Italian city code, and after that - the number of the called party. Please note that international fixed communication services are provided on credit. If the conversation is too long, you will have to pay a significant amount at the end of the month. Don't make international calls without the consent of the person who pays the phone bill.
Step 2
Likewise, you can call Italy from a card machine, if it supports this service. The dialing rules are similar, but the limit of funds that can be spent is limited by their stock on the card, which is safer.
Step 3
On prepaid tariffs of cellular operators, international communication service is usually enabled by default. On postpaid, it is most often necessary to turn it on by visiting the operator's office and paying the security deposit. In the second case, all communication services, including international, are provided on credit. In the home network, the cost of a call to Italy consists of the cost of a local outgoing call and the cost of an international call. Billing is usually per minute.
Step 4
When you are in roaming, communication services, including international, can be provided on credit and on prepaid tariffs, and the cost of calls is significant. To call Italy from a cell phone, dial +39 (plus is dialed, depending on the phone model: either by holding the zero for a long time, or by double clicking on the asterisk), then the Italian city code and the number of the called subscriber.
Step 5
Calls to Italy via Skype will be much cheaper, provided you have unlimited Internet access. If the called party also has Skype, enter his ID. The call will be free.
Step 6
If the subscriber you want to call does not have Skype, top up your account in this system in any way, for example, from a payment terminal, and enter the called subscriber's number into the program in the same format as when calling from a mobile phone. The call will be charged and your Skype account will be charged. The plus sign at the beginning of the number can be replaced with 00 or 011. This will not affect the tariffication in any way.
