There are two ways to play a disc image downloaded to your computer. You can burn the image to a CD or DVD, or you can go a more convenient way by opening the disc using a virtual drive.
Necessary
To create a virtual floppy drive in which you could "insert" a disk in the form of an image, you need to install one of the emulator programs on your computer. For this purpose, it is customary to use Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools. You can download the programs on the official websites of the developers: www.alcohol-soft.com and www.daemon-tools.cc. You will have to pay money to use Alcohol Soft products, and Daemon Tools is distributed free of charge
Instructions
Step 1
To mount a disk image, download and install one of the emulator programs and run it.
Step 2
If you have installed Daemon Tools, in the program window, click on the "Add file" button.
Step 3
In the window that opens, select the image saved on your computer. The image will be added to the program images catalog.
Step 4
All you have to do is double-click on it to mount the image. A window with the contents of the disc will open automatically.
Step 5
If you have installed Alcohol 120%, in the program window, click the "Virtual Disk" button in the "Settings" menu.
Step 6
Create a virtual disk by selecting the number "1" in the "Number of virtual disks" section and click "OK".
Step 7
A virtual floppy drive will appear in the lower window of the program. Right-click on it and select Mount Image.
Step 8
In the window that opens, browsing the contents of your computer, select your disk image. The disk image will be mounted, and a window with its contents will open automatically.
