Modern methods of telecommuting are not limited to a home or mobile phone. You can communicate using a PC. And if you connect a webcam to your computer, you can even see the interlocutor.

Step 1
Before buying a webcam, you first need to check for a free USB port, since it will be connected to it. But even if all your ports are occupied, you can purchase a usb hub, or, as it is also called, a usb splitter. It will allow you to connect multiple USB devices through one port.

For more convenience, buy headphones and a microphone along with the webcam, and your interlocutor will hear you much better than the device built into the webcam.
Step 3
After you have purchased everything you need, you need to take a CD out of the webcam box. It contains the necessary software and drivers. With the software, you can configure the webcam playback with the required parameters. The drivers show Windows how to process information from the device and how to define it on its system.

When the autorun CD shows you its menu, you must select "Install driver" or "Web-camera setup". Since different manufacturers design discs in their own way, you may have a slightly different menu.
Step 5
When the drivers are fully installed, you will need to plug the webcam cable into the USB port. As soon as you connect it to your computer, all you have to do is watch how Windows will find and install the drivers that you recently copied to it. Wait a moment until a message appears (near the right corner of the monitor) telling you that the hardware is installed and ready to go.
Step 6
Now check if everything works. To do this, you need to turn on the Skype program. In the main menu, find the "Tools" button, then - "Settings". In the new window, on the left menu, select "Video Settings". If your webcam is properly installed, you will be able to see yourself in it.
Step 7
You just have to adjust the focus of the camera, if it is not automatic. This can be done by twisting the relay located at the base of the camera itself. Make your video image clear, not blurry. Once you have completed everything, you can call and enjoy video chatting.
