In the modern world, a person cannot imagine life without technology. Most families have several TVs at once, each of which must be connected to an antenna. In order to watch a movie, news or show program on the "blue screen", it is necessary to spread the antenna to several devices.
Instructions
Step 1
Today, there are two main options for wiring a television antenna:
-Using a parallel circuit, which is also called "star";
-Use a sequential circuit.
Step 2
To split the antenna in the first way, buy a special splitter, which is also known as a splitter and signal splitter. With it, you can divide the power of the input TV signal into 2, 3 or 4 receivers. At the same time, remember that this also degrades the output signal, i.e. the picture itself. In most cases, the signal drop is 3.5-4.5 dB.
Step 3
To divorce the antenna according to the second scheme, buy taps or tapes. With their help, connect all TV taps in series. As a result, you should have a cascade. The advantage of this method is the number of cables, but the television signal is divided unevenly.
Step 4
In most cases, people want to connect two TVs to the antenna. In this case, the minimum allowable signal level is 60 dB / μV (according to GOST 28324-89). Thus, using a 10-meter cable, you can easily get an acceptable image on both devices.
Step 5
If you want to spread the antenna for 5 or more TVs, you will have to stock up on additional amplifiers, couplers and combined crossover circuits. In this case, consult a specialist who can calculate and measure the signal level at the input and output.
