It is necessary

  • - working keychain;
  • - new keychain;
  • - car.

Instructions

Step 1

Flash the alarm key fob. First, get a new similar keychain if the old one is lost or broken. You need to determine the type of your keychain in order to buy the right one. They are of two types: supplied to the American market - their signal transmission frequency is 308 MHz; supplied to the rest of the world - their transmission frequency is 434 MHz.

Step 2

To find out, open the old keychain. To do this, use a thin screwdriver to split it in two halves. Find a metallic shiny rectangle inside the board - it is a crystal oscillator. It will have the number 308 or 434.

Step 3

Proceed with flashing the second alarm key fob. To do this, take a flashlight, put something on the threshold of the car so as not to get dirty. Next, crawl under the steering column, look into the pedal compartment to the left. There are such elements: fuse box, clutch pedal, hood opening lever.

Step 4

To flash the alarm key fob, locate the switch located on the front of the safety block. It is labeled “Set” and “Off”. If this switch has not been used, then there may be a factory film on it - remove it.

Step 5

Turn the switch on the safety block to the Set position. Press any button on the first remote control, then any button on the second remote control. Move the power switch to the Off position. After that, your key fob will be entered into the system.

Step 6

Consider the following points when communicating with the service center where you are handing over your car for repair. After returning your vehicle, be sure to check the functionality of the second key fob, which you did not hand over for car repair. If you only have one keychain, re-register it just in case. In this case, the car alarm system will be effective.
