We disassemble the StarLine E61 car alarm key fob.
Necessary
- - keychain car alarm StarLine E61;
- - a small Phillips screwdriver.
Instructions
Step 1
The first step is to open the battery compartment. It is closed by a black plastic cover, which is held by two plastic clips. We just pry it on with something in the place where the special recess is located, and pull it away from the body.
After that, we take out the power battery.
Step 2
Next, unscrew one screw under the spring contact. This is the only screw that connects the two body parts together.
Step 3
Now you can separate the lower part of the case from the upper one. They are connected with several plastic clips. Gently pressing along the perimeter of the lower part of the case, we separate it from the upper one.
When the bottom is separated from the top, the rubberized button panel can be detached if needed. It is threaded through several plastic pins and is not attached with anything else. To remove it, simply pull it out from the body towards you.
Step 4
Two electronic boards are located inside the StarLine E61 car alarm key fob. They are attached to the keychain body with plastic latches in several places. Gently prying them from below and pulling them towards you, they are quite easy to remove.
The upper electronic board is attached to the lower one by the principle of a sandwich through two connectors. The larger connector is located on the "minus" side of the battery, from which you need to start separating the small board. We alternately pull the board up a little for the larger connector, then for the smaller one. After several repetitions of this operation, the top plate is easily peeled off.
Step 5
Now you have access to the entire filling of the StarLine E61 car alarm key fob. Whether one of the buttons is broken, or the power contact, or something else, you can probably get close to this element for repair.
