Step 1
As a rule, it is possible to determine the malfunction of the monitor, namely, to detect the appearance of green stripes every day. There can be two reasons:
- the magnetization of the TV screen (kinescope);
- shift of the picture tube mask.
Step 2
The magnetization of the TV screen occurs due to the fact that there may be electrical appliances near the TV, which have their own magnetic force. The counteraction of these forces causes magnetization. If you pay attention to some electrical appliances in a home appliance store, then the item shielded protection (protection method) is indicated in the instruction manual or the price tag. For many models of audio devices, this option is required. For example, audio speakers for a computer, without shielding the speakers, cause a quick loss of performance of a nearby monitor. The shift of the picture tube mask cannot be serviceable, therefore it is estimated at the price of a new monitor (picture tube).
Step 3
There are 2 ways to fix your TV's magnetization: +
- when a low magnetization appears in the TV, protection is provided against such a factor that affects the image on the screen (demagnetization loop). It is enough to turn off the TV and leave it in standby (rest) state for several to several hours (depending on the TV model).
- if the "demagnetization loop" failed, then you need to purchase, or better lend, a special choke that demagnetizes your TV's picture tube. When demagnetizing with this device, you must follow the exact sequence of actions, which is detailed in the operating instructions.
