A car navigator is a very handy device. It allows you to navigate in any unfamiliar city. The only inconvenience such an electronic assistant delivers is the need to periodically update outdated maps. This is a simple procedure that can be performed in three ways: updating directly (if the device has access to the Internet), using a computer and a special program, through the manufacturer's official website.
Instructions
Step 1
The first way. Turn on your navigator. Go to the Menu and select "My Products". Next, select a card from the list of available for updating. Click "Yes" when the program prompts you to update the map.
Step 2
Second way. Turn on your PC and go online. Download the update program from the official website. Install the update program using the installation wizard. Run the program. It will automatically find all updates and will offer you to save them on your PC. Press the button to continue the procedure and wait for the download to complete. Connect your navigator to your PC.
Step 3
Then run the update program. It will automatically find the connected navigator. If new maps are found by the program, it will offer to update them on the device. Select the version to which you want to update your navigator software. If it is not your intention to update the entire software, then you can install only new maps by selecting the "Do not update the application" option.
Step 4
Then select the required maps from the list, click "Update". After completing the installation of updates, exit the application. Disconnect your navigator from your computer. Turn on the navigator to check.
Step 5
Third way. Go to the manufacturer's official website. Register on this site. Find the "My Updates (Devices)" section. Pick up the cards you need. After that, a link will appear to download them. Save the files to your PC. If the files were downloaded by an archive, they must be extracted to a folder.
Step 6
Next, connect your navigator to your PC. Delete all previous versions of maps from the folder with maps. Run the updater and start downloading new maps to your device.
Step 7
Upon completion of any of these procedures, your GPS navigator will contain new maps that will make it easier for you to navigate anywhere.
