Step 1
When working with Philips TVs, it is important to select the correct software version. Visit the official website of this company. Enter the name of the required device model in the search bar.
Step 2
Select the "Software" tab. Download the suggested firmware version suitable for your TV model.

Unpack the files from the downloaded archive. Prepare your USB storage device for use with your TV. Format the device to FAT32 or FAT16 file system. Navigate to the contents of the folder into which the downloaded archive was unpacked.
Step 4
Copy the upgrade.pkg file to the root directory of the USB stick. Be sure to make sure that the TV you are using supports this USB flash drive or external hard drive.
Step 5
Turn off the TV. Connect the USB stick to the connector labeled SERV. This is a very important step because the firmware update function via other USB channels may not be supported.
Step 6
Turn on your TV. Wait for a while while the USB drive is scanned. After defining the firmware files, the device will automatically enter the firmware update mode.
Step 7
After starting the new menu, click the Yes button and wait for the software change. During this process, it is recommended to connect the TV to an uninterruptible power supply. This will prevent damage to the device due to power outages.

If the TV could not independently determine the presence of firmware in the drive, open the settings menu and go to the item "Firmware update". Run a USB flash drive scan and follow the steps described in the previous step.
