Many mobile phone manufacturers periodically release new firmware versions for these devices. Updating the phone's firmware is designed to correct the identified problems in its operation.
Necessary
- - USB cable;
- - Nokia Software Updater;
- - access to the Internet.
Instructions
Step 1
Use Nokia Software Updater to update the firmware of Nokia mobile phones. Firstly, it downloads the firmware directly from the official server of the company, and secondly, an unsuccessful firmware is equated to a warranty case.
Step 2
Download this utility from www.nokia.com/en-us. Install this application on your computer. Prepare your mobile phone for the firmware update procedure. Copy all the necessary data from the phone memory.
Step 3
Charge the battery of your mobile device to 60-100%. Do not remove the SIM card from your phone. Download the required firmware version from the above site. If you downloaded an.exe file, run it and unzip the files to any empty folder on your computer. Search for the Products directory on your computer. Copy the unpacked files into it.
Step 4
Connect your mobile phone to your computer. Use a USB cable of the correct format for this. Select PC Suite from the phone menu. This is necessary to gain access to the device's memory.
Step 5
Launch Nokia Software Updater. Click the "Start" button and wait for the definition of the type of mobile device. Click the Next button and wait until the search for matching files is complete. When a message appears that a new version of the firmware is available, click the Update button.
Step 6
Do not turn off your phone or disconnect the USB cable during the file update process. Be sure to connect your computer to the internet.
Step 7
Do not download the firmware files yourself unless you need to. In this case, the utility will automatically download the required data from the server. The downside is that if during this process the Internet connection is lost, you will have to carry your mobile phone to a service center to restore operating parameters.
