Fingerprint scanners have now begun to be used to organize logical access to a computer. Usually this is a device that connects via USB and allows you to use the computer only if the prints match.

Instructions
Step 1
Configure access to the computer by fingerprint, to do this, connect the device to the computer, for example, USB Fingerprint Security CVGI K38. This device can store up to ten fingerprints, as well as one access password. The flash drive allows you to start the computer after scanning your fingerprint.
Step 2
Install the drivers and software from the disk that came with the scanner. An additional service, Protect Tools Computer Security Manager, is then installed on the computer. Go to Control Panel, there select "Credential Manager". Go to the "My Identity" tab, click on the "Login" button. The Fingerprint Scanner Setup Wizard opens.
Step 3
Accept the username on the views tab, click Next. If there are other users, enter the name for which the scan will be performed. Next, enter the password to enter the operating system, if you set it earlier. Click Finish.
Step 4
In the "My services and applications" window that opens, select "Fingerprint registration". After the setup wizard appears on the screen, place your fingertip on the sensor, by default this is your right index finger. According to the requirements of the program, register at least two fingers in order to add them to the database.
Step 5
Place your finger on the sensor of the device until the fingerprint image turns green on the computer screen. Follow the same procedure to add another fingerprint to the database. Then click “Finish” to exit the wizard.
Step 6
Reboot your operating system. Now place any finger registered in the database on the sensor to log in to the system in the "Data Manager" dialog box. To associate a fingerprint with a password, enter the operating system password. Fingerprint scanner setup is complete.
