If you have in stock old audio recordings lying around that were recorded before the appearance of CDs on audio cassettes, then they can be recorded on modern storage media. For example, any disc can be such a medium.

Step 1
Each type of audio device has different jacks - some are equipped with a jack 3, 5, some - only tulips. The point is that on one side of the cable you must have "jack 3, 5" (computer input), and on the other side either tulips (RCA), or also "jack 3, 5". Some software is required to write information from tape. Use Audition 3. It is advisable to use the English version of this program. The interface is intuitive, so there shouldn't be any difficulty in getting to know this program.
Step 2
Start Adobe Audition in editor mode. Click the File - New menu.

Select 48000 Hz frequency, stereo mode and 16 bit audio.

Click the Options - Windows Recording Mixer menu. In this window, check the box next to the item "Loud. lin. in ". Connect the connecting cable to the computer and the cassette tape recorder.
Step 5
Play the tape sound. In the program, set the signal level to 2/3 of the total scale. Try to set the maximum recording level so that the indicator does not go off scale, this will lead to bad sound in these moments. Sound adjustment has ended.
Step 6
Rewind the cassette to the very beginning. Press the Ctrl + Space key combination in the program window to enable recording. Start playback. At the end of the recording, press "Space"
Step 7
To save the file, click File - Save As - select the save location - click "OK".
Step 8
After that, you can edit the resulting file. Typically, this processing can take from a few minutes to a couple of hours, depending on the task at hand. If you are only interested in copying the contents of a tape to disk, then you need to redo the sampling rate of your file.
Step 9
Press the F11 button - in the Sample Rate window that appears, select the 44100 rate - click "OK". Save the file.
Step 10
Press “0” (zero) to write to disc. Drag your recording from the work pane to the recording window. Click the Write CD button. When finished recording, click "OK".
