Philips has a fairly large series of phones called Xenium 9 @ 9. The models in this line are assembled according to the same principle. Armed with a simple set of tools, you can independently disassemble the phone for repair or replacement of components.
Necessary
- - Screwdriver TORX T-5 $
- - small flat screwdriver;
- - a tool for disassembling cases.
Instructions
Step 1
Place the phone in front of you with the cover facing up. Slide the cover of the battery compartment, which, in turn, remove from the compartment. Unscrew the screws at the four corners. Flip the phone over and open it. Pry the two rubber feet located at the bottom with your fingernail and move away. Unscrew the two screws under the rubber feet.
Step 2
Take a tool that is specially designed for disassembling cases and, inserting it on the sides of the phone case, open the latches. You can replace the tool with a thin screwdriver, just be sure to wrap it with paper so as not to scratch the case.
Step 3
The plastic around the hinge is thin. To avoid breaking the part, grasp the right side and gently pull the part up. The latch will open. The elastic band that limits the travel of the upper part and the button cover will easily fall out by themselves. Lift up the motherboard with your finger. Under it you will find a connector with a tongue. Pull on it and open the connector.
Step 4
The glue-mounted keyboard can be removed using a disassembly tool or by prying it off with your fingernail. Likewise, remove the screen bezel by prying it into a special recess. Unscrew the four screws that you will find under the screen overlay. First open the upper part of the case on the right side, and then on the left and carefully remove it.
Step 5
The cover with the “Philips” lettering is also easy to remove as it is glued on. The speakers, which are also glued, are removed by prying them off with a screwdriver. Flip the screen, take it out after opening the connector in the base. Open the camera connector and remove it. Open the glued plastic plate in the housing located above the barcode. To remove the hinge plugs, slide them out through the special holes with a flat screwdriver and pull them out with your fingers.
