It is necessary

  • clamshell cell phone.
  • - TORX T-5 screwdriver;
  • - flat screwdriver;
  • - a thin protective film for the display.

Instructions

Step 1

Turn the clamshell phone over to gain access to the battery compartment. Gently slide the cover to remove the battery. If you cannot open the compartment right away, do not press too hard. Wipe the back of the phone with a damp cloth, remove dust and dirt from the gap between the battery cover and the case. Use an ordinary wooden toothpick as a small lever and try to remove the battery from the phone again. The use of a toothpick in this case is due to the fact that its sharp edge cannot scratch the cell phone case. If you work with a needle or pin, then scratches cannot be avoided. Instead of using a toothpick, you can also try opening the lid with the corner of an old credit card.

Step 2

After the battery is safely disconnected, proceed to disassemble the phone case. Remove the four corner screws. It is better to work with a magnetized screwdriver to avoid losing the fasteners and getting them inside the phone. Prepare in advance a small bag or box for the unscrewed screws, their size is so small that if you carelessly, it will not cost you anything to lose. Purchasing new fasteners can take a significant amount of time.

Step 3

Now turn the clamshell phone over with the keyboard up and find the rubber feet that cover a couple more screws. Pry the legs with your fingernail and unscrew the fasteners located at the very bottom of the front of the phone case, under the keyboard.

Step 4

Use a plectrum or an old credit card to open the case. Carefully slide the selected tool over both sides of the housing to release the latches. Pay particular attention to the fastening of the housing at the hinge, which is responsible for the operation of the phone cover. The latch in this place is very fragile, moreover, it is under constant load. Work very carefully, take your time, as a broken latch will make all the work done meaningless.

Step 5

Pull out the keypad layout and some rubber stoppers. Lift the cell phone base board slightly to the left and up to reveal the tab that secures it. Detach the board by pulling on the tab and place it in a separate pouch or box to keep the parts intact.

Step 6

When disassembling the screen, pre-stick a protective film so as not to damage the transparency and not to scratch. Be very careful when removing the sealing gum. If it breaks, then the gum will have to be put on glue when assembling the phone. This means that the opportunity to disassemble the phone display will no longer be presented.
