Instructions
Step 1
Carefully remove the Apple TV from the package. The kit should contain instructions, a 220-volt network cable (be sure to purchase an adapter for a European socket), an aluminum remote control (batteries are not included in the kit) and the set-top box itself. Purchase HDMI and Ethernet cables for the set-top box separately.
Step 2
Connect Apple TV to your TV using an HDMI cable. The set-top box does not have any other ways of connecting to the playback device, so the analog input on the TV will not work. Connect the Ethernet cable with one end to the set-top box and the other to the access point. You can also configure Wi-Fi connection after turning on the set-top box using the "Settings" menu.
Step 3
Be sure to switch your TV receiver to HDMI mode. After turning on the set-top box for the first time, you will be asked to select the interface language, as well as the password for Wi-Fi, if this connection is detected.
Step 4
In the same menu, specify your login information for the iTunes store, the workgroup (network name) in the network circle. A function to block unwanted content is also available in the settings menu. In general, accessing iTunes is similar to accessing the service from your iPod, iPad, iPhone, or MacBook.
Step 5
To play media files from a computer or mobile device, share the files on the device. On the set-top box, select the Media item in the menu. If access is closed with a password, you will be required to enter it.

To view files from the Internet, for example from the Youtube site, select the "Internet" item in the menu.
