Notifications of new e-mails via SMS allow you to quickly receive up-to-date information and always be in touch. This functionality is especially useful when you need constant information about new letters, but there is no Internet access.
Instructions
Step 1
The mail service Mail. Ru provides a simple and convenient way to receive SMS notifications about incoming letters. If you have an account at https://mail.ru, enter the site under it, if not, create it, it will be required to set up notifications if you use other mail services.
Step 2
Open the mailbox page, click on the "More" link and select "Settings". Then go to the "SMS Notifications" category. On the next page, specify the necessary parameters: phone number, folders, about receiving letters to which notifications will be sent, SMS delivery time and other additional settings. Then click the "Save" button.
Step 3
You can also configure notification from other mail services using Mail. Ru. The first way is to collect mail from your main mailbox. Open Mail. Ru mail settings, to do this, select "More" -> "Settings", or follow the link https://e.mail.ru/cgi-bin/options. In the left menu, select "Mail collector (POP3 server)". Click on the Add Server link. On the page that opens, specify the following information about your main mailbox: POP3 server address, username, password, check frequency, delete or not delete messages in the main mailbox, in which folder to place the collected messages. Then click the "Add" button.
Step 4
If your main mail service supports mail forwarding, use it. For example, for popular mail from Google (https://mail.google.com), the setting will look like this. Click on the gear icon located in the upper right corner of the Google Mail page and select "Mail Settings". Click on the Forwarding and POP / IMAP link. Click on the "Add forwarding address" button and enter your Mail. Ru email address. Click Next and in the window that appears, enter the code that was sent to the Mail. Ru mailbox. Save your changes.
