Necessary

  • - splitter;
  • - cables;
  • - insulating tape.

Instructions

Step 1

Purchase a special cable that is used for branching the antenna signal - a coaxial cable, and a splitter from a hardware store or at points of sale of radio equipment in your city. Purchase them according to the number of TVs connected to your antenna. First, take measurements for your apartment in order to determine the required length of the purchased wire; it is best to take it with a margin of about 3-5 meters.

Step 2

Connect the antenna to the cable you purchased. To install it, choose a place where the signal quality is noticeably better, this usually depends on the height of its position. To connect the devices, use the wiring diagram that comes with the splitter - there is nothing complicated about it.

Step 3

Route the cable to the first TV in such a way that it does not interfere with you. Also, his position should provide him with maximum safety; make sure that the opening door does not touch it. Secure the position of the antenna to the baseboard with brackets, which you can also purchase from the hardware store. Alternatively, hide the wires under the baseboard. Repeat this sequence for other TVs in your apartment or house.

Step 4

In the outgoing ports of the splitters, install cables to connect to TVs in your apartment. Connect the other sides of the antenna cable to the input connectors of the TVs, having previously disconnected the devices and waiting for 10-15 seconds. Make sure there are no exposed wires along the entire length of the antenna cable. If there are any, seal them with special adhesive tape.

Step 5

If in the future you notice a deterioration in the signal quality on your TVs, provided that there are more than 2-3 of them, purchase special antenna signal amplifiers, since it is quite possible that the antenna power will not be enough.
