The second hard drive is most often installed to increase the capabilities of the computer, in particular, so that there is more space for storing information. You can connect a second hard drive on your own, this does not require special technical education. This is done in the following sequence.

Instructions
Step 1
Protect your hard drive already on your computer. Better to scan it with ScanDisk and defragment it with Disk Defragmenter.
Step 2
Copy the necessary and important files, if any on your PC.
Step 3
Turn off your computer, be sure to unplug your computer and open your PC.
Step 4
Determine where you will place the second hard drive. Usually, the free space is next to the first disk.
Step 5
Locate the power connector. Then take a new data cable and replace the old cable with it.
Step 6
Place jumpers on the hard drive.
Step 7
Put the second hard drive into your computer. Connect the data connectors and power connectors to both hard drives.
Step 8
Check all new connections.
Step 9
Shut down your computer.
