A mobile phone is not only a means of communication, but also a way of transferring data. If you need to constantly send and receive faxes, but you are on the road from time to time, use your cell phone for this.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the customer support service of your operator. Follow the instructions of the voice menu and get in touch with the operator. Request a connection to the service of receiving and transmitting faxes. To do this, you need to connect an additional number for data transmission. Request information on the cost of the service to know how much funds you should have in your account on a permanent basis.
Step 2
Synchronize your phone with your computer. The most convenient is synchronization using a Bluetooth connection and a data cable. To connect using Bluetooth, activate the profile on your phone, and then turn on the search for devices on your computer. A window will appear on the screen about detecting a new device and installing drivers. Wait for the operation to complete.
Step 3
Data cable connection requires drivers. In case you do not have a CD with them on hand, go to the official website of your cell manufacturer. Download the drivers and then install the synchronization software. Connect your mobile to your computer. A message appears on the screen stating that a new device has been found. Wait until the drivers are installed, then run the synchronization software and make sure that the computer "sees" the phone.
Step 4
Open the Start menu, and then type "Fax" in the search bar. Start Windows Fax and Scan. Click on "File", then select one of the operations - new message, scan and fax, or fax-send a photo. You will be presented with several options for a fax device. Select "Connect to a fax modem". Set the settings in the dialog boxes, after which you will see a form for sending a fax. Enter the phone number, subject and message text. Attach the images you want, then click on the "Send" button.
