Wireless connection
Tablets are good for their compactness. Few people want to entangle their gadget with wires. The bluetooth technology allows you to get rid of them. Many devices are equipped with this module at the factory.
What if you find that your tablet is not equipped with a bluetooth module? You can buy an external bluetooth adapter. If the operating system of your device does not recognize the module, you need to download a set of drivers suitable for your adapter model from the manufacturer's website.
Wired connection
Unfortunately, not all tablets can fully work with wireless keyboards and mice. In addition, some users would like to use their wired peripherals.
Fortunately, most tablet computers are equipped with USB On-The-Go, or OTG, technology. It allows you to connect devices via the USB bus.
Some tablet models have a full USB port so you can connect to them effortlessly. Most gadgets have a MiniUSB or MicroUSB port. To connect standard USB devices to them, a special adapter is used, which can be supplied with the tablet. If it is missing, it can be purchased from the store.
To connect a mouse and keyboard to the tablet at the same time, you need two USB connectors. But what if your gadget only has one port? A USB hub, or a splitter, can come to the rescue. With its help, one USB port can turn into two, three or even four.
In some cases, the hub cannot provide simultaneous operation of the mouse and keyboard. This is due to a lack of power, which in this situation is supplied via the USB bus. To avoid this problem, use an active splitter with an external power supply.
