Step 1
Set up a sound card on your computer if you have not already done so. Install the driver that usually comes with the device or on the same disk with the motherboard if the adapter is internal. Make sure your monitor model has speakers.
Step 2
Find the wire to connect them, after looking at which connector is provided for the input. Most often, a regular jack is used in monitors, while the connection is made by pulling a wire from it to the sound card connector, marked with a headphone icon or a corresponding abbreviation.
Step 3
If your monitor model provides for separate connection of the left and right speakers, connect them to the sound device of your computer in the same way, and in the monitor, connect the two wires according to the color scheme or conventions, if any. Most often, in this way, sound is connected in old CRT models or in modern ones - those that have an internal TV tuner. Also, some all-in-one computers are often distinguished by the relatively good sound of the speakers built into them. In any case, the monitor is not able to replace a full-fledged speaker system.
Step 4
Adjust the volume of the monitor speakers using the corresponding buttons on the front panel. If necessary, install the monitor driver that comes with the device, it is quite possible that you will have an additional utility for adjusting the sound.
Step 5
Please note that most monitor speakers do not sound good, so if you intend to watch movies or listen to music on your computer, get new separate speakers or use headphones as soon as possible.
