Admiring home video recorded with a light camera, you can see how uncomfortable it is to watch a jerky, unstable image. An acceptable image can be obtained without a tripod if you shoot from a stable position or use available means.

Instructions
Step 1
Typically, amateur camcorder models are equipped with an optical or electronic image stabilizer. Before shooting, enable this option via the camera menu as described in the user manual. The gimbal is not a substitute for a tripod, but it can soften the jerk.
Step 2
When shooting handheld, use any support. If possible, place the camera on a stationary surface. If there is no support, press the bent arm that holds the camera against the body. Use your other hand to support the device.
Step 3
When shooting from a prone position, you can get good shots. Rest your elbows on the surface on which you are, and the picture received from the camera will be more stable.
Step 4
Camera shake can be especially noticeable when you press the record button. By turning on the recording a few seconds before the start of the filmed event, you will be able to cut out the spoiled moment during editing.
Step 5
When shooting handheld, avoid using the zoom button. Camera shake will be especially noticeable when the subject is zoomed in. Whenever possible, it's best to get closer to the subject you want to capture.
Step 6
When shooting a panorama, slowly turn around without shifting from foot to foot. Any step will cause the image to twitch, as a result, the picture will be damaged. At the beginning and end of the panorama, record about ten seconds of a still image.
Step 7
A sturdy chain or cord can be used as a makeshift tripod. Attach one end to the screw with the same diameter as the hole for attaching the camera to the tripod head. Step on the other end of the cord. Stretching this support will result in less shaky video.
