In the 2000s, the cell phone from an elite accessory turned into a consumer item. And against the background of a significant decrease in tariffs of mobile operators, some people thought about abandoning stationary telephones at home altogether. This is possible, but the legal procedure must be followed.
Instructions
Step 1
Come to the service center of your telephone operator with your passport. If the phone is not registered with you, bring with you the person whose name appears on the receipts that come to your house as the responsible payer. He can also issue a power of attorney for you to represent his interests in a telecommunications company. If the person in whose name the contract was signed with the company has checked out of the apartment, bring as a supporting document an extract from the house book, in which this subscriber does not appear. You should also act if the subscriber died.
Step 2
Write a statement that you want to terminate the communication services agreement. In this case, you will need to pay the debt, if any, as well as the subscription fee for the part of the current month during which your phone worked. This will disconnect your line and no longer receive telephone bills. If you wish, you can request an official certificate of termination of the contract for communication services.
Step 3
If you do not have the time or opportunity to come to the service center in person, send your application by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt. You can find out if you are still on the list of subscribers by calling the population.
Step 4
In the case when you do not want to use the phone temporarily, just switch to time-based billing. In this case, you will not pay a subscription fee, but you can start calling your phone again at any time.
