The gameplay on PSP is simplified as much as possible - you just need to insert a disc and start playing. But creating a virtual PSP game disc will require the use of additional software.
Necessary
Daemon Tools application
Instructions
Step 1
When downloading games from sites on the Internet, a virtual image of the game is created, which is an absolute copy of the CD-disk. Working with such a virtual disk requires the use of a virtual drive. The Daemon Tools application allows you to create a virtual disk drive that emulates the downloaded image as if there was a real game disc in the drive.
Step 2
Download and install the dedicated Daemon Tools application on your computer. The program is paid, but a free Lite version is also available, which allows you to solve the problem of installing the selected game on the PSP.
Step 3
Find a new application icon with a lightning bolt in the notification area and open its context menu by clicking the right mouse button. Select the "Emulation" item and use the "All options ON" subcommand. Open the item "Drive 0: [X:] Empty" and go to the Virtual CD / DVD-ROM submenu.
Step 4
Specify the file with the image of the desired game saved on your computer in the opened dialog box and click the "Open" button. Wait for the offer to install the game or carry out this procedure manually. To do this, expand the "My Computer" node and find the created virtual disk. Open it and run the required Setup file (the Autorun option is possible).
Step 5
Use an alternative method of downloading games from disc to PSP, available to owners of firmware 3.xxOE and M33. To do this, download the selected game and unzip it. Place the game files in a folder named X: / ISO located in the root directory of your memory card. Please note that the absence of this folder means that the card must be formatted in the device.
Step 6
put the game disc into the PSP drive and go to the "Game", "Memory Stick". Use the X button to start the game.
Step 7
It is also possible to use a special DevHook emulator program designed to replace the firmware in the device's memory with the firmware from the memory card.
