Step 1
When you start upgrading your console, you need to make sure that the original firmware 5.03 is installed on board your psp. If the version is lower, then you need to install exactly 5.03. Do not under any circumstances upgrade to later versions. Download the official operating system 5.03. Connect your console to your personal computer using a sync cable. As the computer recognizes the memory card, open the psp / game folder. There you will see the update folder, if there is no folder, then create it. We unpack the downloaded archive to any convenient place on the hard disk of the computer.
Step 2
Open the unpacked folder and copy the eboot.pbp file to the created update folder. Disconnect the console from the computer and go to the Game / Memory Card directory on the console. Find and run the official firmware file. Installation is not difficult as it is intuitive. All installation processes take place in Russian. Wait for the installation to complete, the PSP should reboot, and firmware 5.03 should appear in the software information. Download the ChickHEN program - it is freely available. In the archive with the program there are folders with the names of the consoles, choose the one that suits you. Run the.exe file and connect the psp to your computer.
Step 3
In the window, click ok and the necessary files will be automatically copied to the memory card of your console. From the archive with ChickHEN copy the ChickHEN mod 2 folder to the picture folder on the memory card. Go to the console menu and open photos. Start flipping through the image and the console will reboot. This may not happen the first time, it all depends on your console model. This usually takes about ten tries. Download modified firmware 5.03 GEN-C and copy to the card in psp / game. Run the modified firmware from the "Game" menu. After the installation process, the console will reboot. Copy the games to the psp / game folder.
