To carry out minor preventive maintenance of an electric shaver, it must be disassembled. Disassembly can be either partial or complete. The procedure for removing shaver parts can vary significantly depending on the manufacturer and the specific model of the appliance. In any case, it is not recommended to completely disassemble the device, if the warranty period for the electric shaver has not expired.
Necessary
- - screwdriver;
- - knife.
Instructions
Step 1
To remove the brushed shaver, remove the protective cap and blade unit. Detach the cover (hair catcher). Squeeze out the blade block holders and remove the razor blades.
Step 2
Unscrew the fastening screws and remove one of the halves of the case. Slide the shaver body along the cord towards the plug. Now remove the screws that secure the patch cord. Unsolder the cord if repair is required. If the purpose of disassembly is to repair an electric motor, disconnect it by unscrewing the fasteners, remove the washers and rubber gaskets.
Step 3
To replace the shaver body, disassemble the appliance, unscrew the screw securing the body halves, and slide the bracket. Disconnect the shield from the stator, move the shield and varnish to the side. Remove the cord. After repair, thread the cord through the hole in the new case and solder it according to the wiring diagram.
Step 4
Sometimes disassembly is carried out to replace the leash. In this case, in addition to the general disassembly, unscrew the two set screws securing the driver and remove the lock nuts. Put a new leash on the eccentric, and then set the mechanism down until it stops.
Step 5
When replacing brushes at the end of the standard disassembly, loosen the screws holding the brush holder and remove them. Disconnect the spring and brush from the brush holder.
Step 6
When removing the shaver with a built-in electromagnetic vibrator, first remove the protective cap. Press out the holder and take out the knife unit. Unscrew the screws and remove the instrument housing cover. Remove the connector block, the mains switch and the voltage switch from the grooves in the housing. Remove the cap, washers, bridge and vibrator armature springs. Disconnect the stator with field coils.
Step 7
As a rule, the shaver is disassembled for preventive maintenance or replacement of defective parts. Strive to ensure that, unless absolutely necessary, do not dismantle parts that do not need maintenance or repair. After completing the dismantling of the device, reassemble it in the reverse order. Pay particular attention to the reliability of the fastening of the parts.
