There are various ways to connect multiple TVs to one cable. The connection option depends only on the final purpose of this connection.
Necessary
splitter
Instructions
Step 1
If you need to connect your TVs to one cable TV wire, then use a special splitter. This device is a kind of tee branching a coaxial cable. Connect one end of the splitter to the desired cable, and connect the remaining free slots to the TVs using the appropriate wires.
Step 2
If you are using the receiver to access satellite TV, then purchase an additional splitter. Much depends on which channel you have chosen to connect the receiver to your TV. Currently, VGA and DVI port splitters can be easily found in the public domain. Connect this accessory to the cable coming from the receiver. Connect your TVs to it.
Step 3
Remember that additional adapters can be used to connect the VGA, DVI and HDMI ports together. Purchase a suitable adapter kit. Please note that the use of these accessories will significantly reduce the quality of the transmitted signal. Remember that with this option of connecting TVs to a single cable, both devices will show a single channel.
Step 4
Use a VGA or DVI port splitter to connect TVs to one computer video card connector. In this case, an identical signal will be transmitted to both devices, which is not always convenient.
Step 5
The optimal solution is to use two types of connection. Connect the coaxial cable of a conventional antenna to both TVs using the above method. Connect both devices to the receiver. This method will allow you to switch the TV operating mode (receiver / antenna) at the right time, thereby providing you with the ability to select the desired channel. If you want to connect both TVs to satellite TV, then choose the company that installs its own single receiver serving the house or entrance.
