Providers of satellite TV assure that it is impossible to connect two TVs to one receiver at once. But it is not so. If you accept the fact that these devices will not be able to simultaneously watch different channels, such an operation is quite feasible.
Instructions
Step 1
Buy two pieces of shielded cable. In length, they should correspond to the distance from the receiver to the second TV.
Step 2
Unplug the receiver, both TVs, and all external devices connected to them. Disconnect the collective antenna cables from both TVs.
Step 3
Familiarize yourself with the pinout of the RCA connector: ring pin - common, pin - input or output.
Step 4
Check out the pinout of the SCART connector: 3 - audio output, 4 - common audio signal, 6 - audio input, 17 - common video signal, 19 - video output, 20 - video input.
Step 5
Open the housing of the connectors connected to the output jacks of your satellite receiver. Connect the first cable in parallel with the one connected to the audio output of the receiver and the audio input of the first TV. On the opposite side, connect it to the audio input of a second TV.
Step 6
Disconnect the video input of the first TV from the output of the receiver, then reconnect, but not directly, but through a 75-ohm resistor. Connect the second cable to the video output of the receiver, also connecting its center conductor through a 75-ohm resistor. On the opposite side, connect it to the video input of a second TV.
Step 7
Close all connector housings. Supply power to all devices. Turn on their power. On both TVs, select the LF inputs to which the receiver is connected. Having tuned the latter to one or another channel, make sure that there is picture and sound on both TVs.
Step 8
Accept that only the family member in whose room it is installed can change channels on the receiver. Or use a special factory or home-made device to transmit the remote control signals via cable to another room. But then, in turn, the one in whose room the receiver is located may be dissatisfied. Sometimes you can watch a satellite channel on one of the TVs, and an on-air channel on the other.
