In order to hang the plasma panel on the wall, it is not necessary to call a specialist. Decide on the location and screen size of the plasma display. You can handle it yourself.
Necessary
Bracket for panel mounting, a set of suitable self-tapping screws with dowels, pencil, measuring tape, puncher
Instructions
Step 1
Plasma display technology was developed in the 70s of the XX century. The principle is quite simple and is based on the phenomenon of the glow of inert gases under the action of an electric current. The plasma panel consists of two sealed glass plates. A small gap between them is structurally made in the form of a matrix consisting of thousands of cells filled with an inert gas. When voltage is applied to each cell, a glow of different intensity and color shade is achieved. The contrast and color of the image that is achieved in this way are still considered the quality standard. At the same time, the plasma panel has a large, at least 180 degrees, viewing angle and small thickness - no more than 15 cm.
Step 2
When choosing a Plasma TV, keep in mind that a Plasma TV and a Plasma TV are different devices. The TV is equipped with a TV tuner capable of receiving a TV signal. The panels are not equipped with such a tuner; they are practically monitors and are designed to function in conjunction with a player, computer or home theater system.
Step 3
The main characteristic for choosing a plasma panel is the screen size. It is customary to measure the screen diagonally and in inches. There are models on the market with diagonal lengths of 32, 37, 40, 42, 50 and more inches. At the same time, it is recommended to observe the rule that the distance from the viewer to the screen should be at least three lengths of the diagonal. This, however, does not mean that it is forbidden to look at the screen from a closer or more significant distance. But try it, and you will see that the most comfortable position will fit the rule.
Step 4
Modern panels are equipped with everything necessary for connection to various signal transmitting and information-carrying devices. However, when choosing, make sure that the panel is equipped with a sufficient number of HDMI and USB ports and has an input for connecting an audio system and headphones. The more connection ports are available, the more devices you can connect at the same time. For example, a player and game console, an audio system and a USB storage device.
Step 5
The panel should be positioned so that the viewer does not feel uncomfortable. Get into a comfortable position on the couch or chair without lifting your head or eyes. Remember where you want the screen to be. Typically, the optimal screen placement height is 0.8-1m from the floor to the bottom edge. Do not place the panel too close to a wall or furniture, as on the back there are ventilation grilles to ensure sufficient circulation of the cooling air. Also, do not hang the panel in front of a bright light source (window or balcony) or near a heat source (radiators or fireplace). There must be an electrical outlet and antenna cable of sufficient length (for the TV) near the location.
Step 6
To mount the panel, you will need to purchase a pivot and tilt bracket. Check with your retailer for the correct model based on your screen size and panel weight. Do not hang the panel on a plasterboard wall. The bracket must be firmly attached to the wall for a secure fit. Before attaching the bracket, make sure that when you rotate the screen, the wires are not taut and that all control buttons remain accessible.
