To fully enjoy the music in the car, you need to install speakers not only in the back, but also in the panels of the front doors. Music will sound in a completely new way, every note will be heard. An avid car enthusiast's dream.
Necessary
- - jigsaw for metal;
- - self-tapping screws;
- - speaker;
- - plywood.
Instructions
Step 1
Remove the panel from the front doors to embed the speakers. To do this, unscrew all handles. The panel itself is attached to the frame with clips. Pay attention to the location where you will install the speaker. The best option would be the lower right (left, depending on the door) part of the panel. In this place, the speaker will not interfere with the locking mechanism, power windows and other elements of the car door.
Step 2
Saw a hole in the panel where you want to install the speaker. Note that the diameter of the hole should be slightly smaller than the diameter of the speaker itself. This is necessary in order to subsequently avoid backlash. The speaker will vibrate during operation and may loosen the socket over time. Use a metal jigsaw to cut the hole.
Step 3
Screw the special plates to the car door using self-tapping screws. Then, screw the speaker onto these plates. Pay attention to the size of the plates. It should be selected in such a way that the speaker does not protrude much, but at the same time it is securely fixed.
Step 4
Fasten 4 plates, each in its own corner. Then, in order to insert the speaker, and so that it sits as tightly as possible, you can glue a plywood frame along the inner contour of the plates, and fix the device directly to it. The plywood contour should be made in the form of a ring.
Step 5
Attach the speaker to it using self-tapping screws. After the speaker is installed and secured, you need to connect it to the amplifier. For this purpose, it is worthwhile to stretch the wires in advance. Drill a small hole in the inner panel near the door hinges, large enough for the wire to go through.
Step 6
Run the wire to the amplifier and connect the speaker. To prevent damage, slide a piece of PVC tubing over the joint. Inspect the connections carefully. Wrap all exposed parts with electrical tape.
