The design style of some documents implies the presence of a certain type of frames on their sheets. Modern text programs, for example, Microsoft Office Word, offer a flexible mechanism for solving this problem. You can print the frame either separately or by adding document content.

Instructions
Step 1
Open the Borders and Fills dialog in Microsoft Office Word. To do this, use the item of the same name in the "Format" section of the main menu. Switch to the "Page" tab of this dialog

Set the shape type and frame border type. Using the mouse or the TAB key and the cursor buttons, make active one of the icons designated as "no", "frame", "shadow", "volumetric" and "other" located in the left part of the dialog. Select one of the sample border items in the Type list

Set the color of the frame lines. Click on the "Color" drop-down list. A panel with a set of buttons will appear. Click on one of them or select "Other line colors …" to display a dialog with which you can make an arbitrary color setting

Specify the width of the border lines. Click on the "Width" drop-down list button. Highlight the item with the desired value

Determine the range of document pages on which the frame with the specified parameters should be displayed. Expand the "Apply to" drop-down list. Select the item that matches your preferred option

If necessary, set additional options that affect the display of the frame. Click on the "Options …" button. The "Border and Fill Options" dialog will open. Enter in it the values of the margins of the frame from the edges of the page or text (determined by the "Relative" drop-down list). Activate, if necessary, the options in the "Parameters" group of controls
Step 7
Apply the changes made by clicking the OK buttons in the open dialogs. Check if the frame is displayed properly. If necessary, create the content of the document by entering text, adding images, autoshapes, etc
Step 8
Print a frame. Select "File" and "Print" from the main menu, or press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + P. In the displayed dialog, specify the target printer and specify additional options for document output, if necessary. Click OK. Wait for the end of the printing process.
