Folders on iPhone are used to create groups of shortcuts. You can create a folder if you want to categorize the applications that are located on the home screen of the device. Instructions
Step 1
Creating a folder on the main screen of the device is available starting from iOS 4. Using folders, you can group similar applications in a separate menu item. The operation can be performed directly from a smartphone without connecting it to a computer.
Step 2
Switch to home screen edit mode. To do this, unlock your smartphone by pressing the power button on the top of the device. Click on any application icon available on the screen and hold your finger until all the icons begin to shake and a cross icon appears on the left side of each icon, with which you can remove installed programs.
Step 3
Move one icon on top of the other on the screen. To do this, click on any application and move it over another. This will allow you to combine two shortcuts in one smartphone directory.
Step 4
To rename the created folder, go back to the mode of editing the order of placing icons on the display and click on the image of the directory. A dialog box will appear on the screen in which you can enter a name for the directory. Click on the line to enter text and enter the desired name. Below will be shown the applications that are in this directory.
Step 5
To add another program to the catalog, in edit mode, move the shortcut of the required application to the folder icon. If everything was done correctly, the new application will appear in the selected directory.
Step 6
Deleting folders is also carried out in edit mode. Click on the folder icon and start moving the copied shortcuts to your desktop. As soon as there are no more applications in the directory, the directory will be automatically removed from the system.
