Owners of Nokia smartphones running on the S60 platform have to deal with a situation where the installation of some applications is impossible due to a certificate error. In such cases, it is necessary to sign the program with a personal certificate. This can be done using a special program.

Necessary

  • - personal certificate;
  • - FreeSigner application.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all, you need to obtain a personal certificate with which you can subsequently sign any application and install it on your smartphone. To do this, go to the site www.allnokia.ru and in the "Services" menu open the "Order a certificate" section

Step 2

Enter the IMEI of your phone in the appropriate field on the page and click the "Order / Check" button. Your certificate will be generated within 48 hours. It will be possible to check its readiness here, in the same way.

Step 3

If the certificate is ready, you will be prompted to download it. You can do this directly through your phone's browser. If you downloaded the certificate to your computer, then copy it to the smartphone's memory.

Step 4

The next step is to install the FreeSigner application. You can download it for free on the sites www.symbian-freeware.com, www.symbianfree.ru and others. After downloading, install the program. The application does not require signing with a certificate

Step 5

Launch the application, select the Settings command from the Options menu. Here you can make all the necessary settings. Select the Sign cert item and specify the path to the certificate file that you previously copied to the phone memory.

Step 6

Select the Sign key item and specify the path to the key file (you received it along with the certificate). In the Sign key pass, enter the password: "12345678".

Step 7

By default, the signed application will be placed in the folder where the original program file is located. If you want to specify a different path, select the Output directory item and select a new folder.

Step 8

Return to the main menu of the program and select the Add task command. The file manager will open, with which you can find the file of the application that you need to sign with the certificate. Find and highlight it.

Step 9

Click the Options menu and select the Sign sis command. Now press Options again and choose Go! The file will be signed. Now the new file (the word Signed will be added to its name) can be opened and installed.
