Some smartphone applications (mainly Nokia smartphones) must be signed with a personal certificate that entitles these applications to be installed. The process of obtaining the certificate itself is not considered in this material.
Necessary
- - PC with preinstalled Microsoft Windows operating system;
- - PC Suite;
- - SisSigner
Instructions
Step 1
Download the SisSigner archive available for download on the Internet.
Step 2
Install the SisSigner program from the archive and replace the mykey file in the program folder with the file with the same name in the cert folder.
Step 3
Copy your certificate file with the.cer extension to the program folder.
Step 4
Create copies of the key files for the certificate with the.key extension and the selected application in the SisSign program folder.
Step 5
Run the SisSigner program by double clicking and enter the following values in the appropriate fields:
- full path to the mykey.key file received when ordering the certificate;
- full path to the file MyCert.cer received when ordering;
- full path to the password of the mykey.key file (by default 12345678);
- full path to the application to be signed.
Step 6
Press the "Sign" button to execute the command and confirm the application of the selected changes in the request window that opens by pressing any key.
Step 7
Exit the SisSign program and connect your smartphone to the computer using the USB connection cable.
Step 8
Open the Application Manager on your device and go to the Features section to perform the operation to disable certificate verification. This action will remove the factory settings to prevent the installation of new applications.
Step 9
Go to the "Settings" item and point to the "Prog. install."
Step 10
Select the "All" command and go to the "Certificate Verification" section.
Step 11
Use the Disabled command to complete the operation.
Step 12
Start the PC Suite program and install the application signed by the personal certificate on your smartphone.
