You may need to format your Nokia 3110 mobile device when you want to completely clear all phone data or when you have a serious problem with the phone.
Instructions
Step 1
To avoid damaging the memory card, remove the memory card before performing any operations on the phone, and try turning the device off and on again to avoid formatting.
Step 2
Repeat the procedure for turning off and then turning on the device with disconnecting the battery to try to restore the device's functionality, or turn off the phone, disconnect the battery and wait for a while (at least 30 minutes) before turning it on again.
Step 3
Switch on the phone without a memory card and SIM card, or connect the charger and repeat the switch-on procedure.
Step 4
Enter the following value to use the service code of your Nokia 3110 phone:
*#7780#.
This action will restore the original settings of the mobile device, delete the user settings for Internet connections, the operating time of the display backlight, etc., but will save all the information on the device.
Step 5
Enter * # 7370 # to completely clear phone data, including installed apps, address book, and other custom content, and reset the device to factory settings.
Step 6
Use the following method to format your Nokia 31310 phone when you cannot turn on the device:
- press simultaneously the function keys "Connection" ("Green") + 3 + *, without turning on the phone;
- press the device power key while continuing to hold the three function keys;
- wait for the Nokia logo to appear (formatting message is possible).
Step 7
Please note that applying the last formatting method not only restores the machine to factory settings and clears user content, but also deletes the mmc_store data containing the memory card password.
Step 8
Enter the password in the prompt window to confirm the formatting of the Nokia 3110 phone (by default, the password is 12345) and wait for the selected changes to be applied.
